One could say I've always been giving people direction and advice.
I grew up in Ithaca, NY, the son of refugees from Cuba; in between contrasting worlds of rich culture and eclectic Ithaca vibes. I began my post college life in being a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania and worked with street children and taught English. Afterwards I lived in Spain, South Korea, Washington DC, NYC and Saint Louis, eventually finding my way back to my home town.
I have been an editor of literary journals, worked with the federal government, have had a thriving literary career publishing short stories and poetry and spent the better part of 15 years working in international higher education. I worked at Cornell University, Webster University, Washington University in Saint Louis, George Mason University and Hobart and William Smith.
I returned to Ithaca in 2011 and began working in crisis management and clinical services and more recently as a clinical therapist at an agency downtown and run my own private practice.

Working with hundreds of people in a crisis has taught me that this work is what my life is about. In all times. In all seasons. It is my pleasure to help you on your path.
My "home" practice is dedicated to individuals looking for counseling to get their life back on track and institutions attempting to accomplish goals that are mission orientated.
