What Is a Therapist?
The short answer is: someone who helps you focus on getting out of life what is important to you (even when you don’t know what that is yet!) and gives you the tools to keep doing this long after your final session.
Do you offer online counseling/telehealth?
Yes, I offer telehealth sessions. I work with the industry leader for online security and stable internet connections. Meeting your telehealth requirements will not be an issue.
How many sessions will I need?
It really depends on what you want to work on. I've worked with clients in a really intense way, and other clients will take more time, years even to unwind the issues that they want to work on. The work is really never done in therapy. It all depends on how deep and long you want to go on what you're working on.
Do you take insurance?
At this time I don't accept insurance.
Do you have a sliding scale?
I have a limited amount of sliding scale sessions which I can offer my clients. It's hard. It's a business but I'm a human.
Do you work with anyone under 18?
Most of my client population is above 18, but in rare exceptions I will work with clients that are under 18. This happens on a case-by-case scenario. Please feel free to contact me.
Are there any clients you don’t work with?
Generally, no. I am a generalist therapist and I enjoy working with anyone.
Do you work with people undergoing therapy with another therapist?
I generally don't like to do this sort of work unless the other therapist is working for a limited time, as in their therapy is ending shortly, or that the therapist has a very specific skill (EMDR for example) that the client needs to work with. Contact me for specific situations.
